Got the exhaust all ripped off this weekend. Next weekend I have to pull the oil pump apart and do some investigating. I'm not pumping for some reason. I stopped up to Neumann's Cycle Repair and talked to the grungey old mechanic. Thankfully he had an old shovelhead tore apart on the bench in the back and showed me what to look for. Aparently there are just keys that go into a drive shaft, and they are notorious for shearing. Not an expensive fix, but somewhat laborous.

I think I am going to put some new pipes on it since I have them off. I haven't decided if I want to build my own, or buy them. I was originally leaning towards true duals with nonbaffled fishtail slipons, but now I am thinking about building some pipes. My buddy offered to build me some pipes, and we were thinking a stainless 2 into 1 with a mitre cut and wrapping them with the white heat wrap. I'm open for suggestions.
